Indus International School is the best-known international school on Sarjapur–Attibele Road, and it sits on the same road as NVT Lakeside Residences. For families searching for apartments near Indus International School in Bangalore, the useful questions are how long the school run really takes, what the school teaches, and whether a lake-facing Sky Villa a few kilometres south suits a family built around that campus. This guide answers all three.
For every school and college on the corridor, see schools near Sarjapur Road and international schools near Sarjapur Road.
Distance and route to Indus International School
We measured from the project pin to the school's Google Maps listing on 21 October 2026.
| Measure | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Drive time | about 9 min | Google Maps, 21 Oct 2026 |
| Distance | 5.3 km | Google Maps |
| Route | Sarjapura–Attibele Road (NH 948A on Maps) | Google Maps |
| Developer's indicative band | 0–10 min | project material |
| Address on Maps | Billapura Cross, Sarjapura–Attibele Road, Sarjapura, 562125 | Google Maps |
The route is one straight run north along the main road, with no village lanes, which makes it predictable for a school bus. School-hour traffic near Sarjapura junction adds time, so allow 12 to 15 minutes on weekday mornings until you have driven it yourself.
What Indus teaches
Indus International School Bangalore is run by the Indus Trust and was founded in 2003, according to the trust's public profile and school listings. Those sources describe:
- IB Primary Years Programme from kindergarten to Grade 5.
- Cambridge IGCSE in Grades 9 and 10.
- IB Diploma Programme in Grades 11 and 12.
- A 40-acre campus at Billapura Cross with day and boarding places.
The school's own website was not reachable when we checked, so confirm the current programmes, the middle-school curriculum and boarding availability with the admissions office before you rely on any of this.
Fees, transport and admissions
We do not quote fees. International schools in Bengaluru set them by grade and revise them each year, and they often bill transport, meals and boarding separately. Ask Indus for the current schedule and for its bus routes south of Sarjapura; at 5 km, a family at NVT Lakeside Residences is likely to be on a short route, but that depends on how the school plans its stops.
Admissions at schools of this kind usually open about a year before the academic session, with assessments and interviews for older grades. Start early if you are moving to the corridor for the school.
Living 9 minutes from Indus
A 9-minute run is short by Bengaluru standards. A parent can drop a child at Indus and be back home before the first work call, and an IB Diploma student staying late for a project is not facing a long ride at night. For families relocating from the city, that is the real gain: the commute that used to eat an hour each way shrinks to a few minutes.
The trade-off is that NVT Lakeside Residences sits south of the school, away from Whitefield and the Outer Ring Road. If one parent works in those IT hubs, weigh their commute too; our guide to the commute to Whitefield from Sarjapur Road covers it.
The homes at NVT Lakeside Residences
NVT Lakeside Residences is the apartment phase of NVT's A Wonderful World township: 604 lake-facing 3 and 4 BHK Sky Villas, 4 homes per floor, from about 1,850 to 2,950 sq ft. Indicative starting values run from ₹1.69 Cr for a Large 3 BHK to ₹2.68 Cr for a Prime 4 BHK at a base price of ₹8,999 per sq ft, with other charges extra. The phase has no Karnataka RERA number or possession date yet, so treat any payment as an interest or EOI amount until it is registered. See the NVT Lakeside Residences project page for the full price table and floor plans.
